My Mission and Vision
Introduction:
The foundation of Crafting Futures is built on Direction, Discovery, Resilience and Passion. My journey hasn't been straightforward. But every challenge taught me something — how to stand out in applications, how to handle tough interviews, how to bounce back from rejection. That's the real-world experience I pass on to your teenager.
My journey began with Direction. I was searching for a path that would give me purpose — unsure of what I'd find, but excited to explore what was out there.
That search led to Discovery. I learned what apprenticeships were, explored careers I'd never considered, and started to understand my own strengths and skills.
The path wasn't straightforward. I sat through interview after interview, facing rejection after rejection. But each setback built my Resilience — teaching me how to keep going when things didn't go to plan.
Then I found the right fit, and Passion took over. I wanted to learn everything, grow every day, and push myself further. The bonus? I was earning a salary while doing it.
Have there been challenges along the way? Of course. But there's comfort in knowing that through perseverance, commitment, and dedication, I'll finish with a recognised qualification — and all the hard work will have paid off.
My focus is on clarity, structure, and encouragement — so your teenager isn't just hired, but thriving.
And parents aren't left on the side lines. I'll give you peace of mind, keep you informed, and help you understand how to support your child through every stage of their apprenticeship journey
Why Guidance Changes Everything
Skanska was my first apprenticeship
When I applied, I'd never heard of Building Information Modelling. But I walked into that interview with an open mind and thorough preparation. I'd researched the company inside out. I listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and showed I was ready to learn.
When I started the role, I discovered something unexpected — a career I genuinely love.
Today, I create 2D drawings and 3D models of buildings you'd recognise. I work alongside design engineers and directors on complex projects. I've found a path that challenges me every single day.
My parents encouraged me to explore new paths, follow my intuition, and take opportunities when they appeared. Their message was simple: do what makes you happy, because that's where you'll find purpose and peace.
Through their support, I learned tools and techniques for managing change, building routine, and balancing professional and personal life — things that were completely new to me. I learned how to pause when things feel overwhelming and return to calmness.
That realisation is what led me to start Crafting Futures.
'' Teenagers don't fail because they are not capable. They struggle because they don't have the guidance. ''
How I Help Teenagers:
I guide your teenager through every stage - finding the right opportunities to landing the offer.
Finding The Right Fit - We start by identifying their strengths and interests, then match them to apprenticeships where they'll genuinely thrive. Not just any role - the right role.
Application That Stand Out - I help them craft CVs and cover letters that speak directly to what employers want. No generic templates. Every application is tailored to the specific company and positions.
Interview Preparation - We practise until they're ready. Mock interviews, aptitude test exercises, and answer the that trip up most candidates.
Ongoing Support - Once they start, I stay involved. Workplace challenges, difficult conversations, navigating office dynamics - I'm a message away whenever the need guidance.
I have been through the challenges, setbacks and successfully overcome them through my resilience and ongoing learning. I am confident in the support I have laid out for your teenager, they will also build key skills that will enable them to reach their own success.
How I Help Parents:
My parents helped my apprenticeship journey possible. They helped me find opportunities I didn't know were out there. They helped me prepare when I had no idea what to do. They kept me motivated after every rejection.
I know most parents want to do the same for their teenagers - but don't know where to start.
Thats where I come in.
I keep you informed - You'll understand exactly what is happening at everystage. No confusion. Just clear updates on progress, next steps, and what your teenager needs from your.
I answer your questions - How does funding work? What qualifications will they get? Is this the right path? I will give you straight answers so you can feel confident in the decisions you're making together.
I take the pressure off - You don't need to become an apprenticeship expert. That is my job. Your role is to support your teenager - I'll handle the rest.
You are not handing your child over to a stranger. You are partnering with someone who's been exactly where your teenager is now.
My Approach:
So what are your expectations of the approach from me?
I will give you the assurance that our interactions will be honest, have integrity and be truthful always for the work we will be involved with.
If your teenager isn't ready for a particular application, I'll say no. If more preparation is needed then we will continue to work. If I believe a better path is out there for you then I will tell you.
You are not paying someone to tell you what you want to hear. You are paying for the truth - delivered with kindness and objective.
The objective and goal will always remain the centre of my approach which is to empower your teenagers journey into discovering a suitable apprenticeship and empower them with confidence and self esteem.
This isn't a course they walk alone. It's a partnership with someone who genuinely cares whether they succeed.
